3 Favourites to win International League T20 2023

The inaugural edition of the International League T20 kicked off on January 13^th with the first Match being played between Dubai Capitals and Abu Dhabi Knight Riders. The tournament aims to give a platform to the unnoticed talent in U.A.E to get recognised.

All matches of the competition will be played across three venues – the Dubai International Cricket Stadium (which will host both the Qualifiers and the final), the Sharjah Cricket Stadium (which will host the Eliminator), and Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

Total of six teams will be seen contesting for the ultimate prize namely Abu Dhabi Knight Riders, Desert Vipers, Dubai Capitals, Gulf Giants, MI Emirates, and Sharjah Warriors. As ILT20 prepares to attract fans across the globe, let’s take a look at three teams which can win the inaugural edition of the competition:

1 MI Emirates

MI Emirates is owned by the most successful franchise of the Indian T20 League. Led by the legendary Kieron Pollard, they have several big names in their squad such as Dwayne Bravo, Nicholas Pooran, Trent Boult, Imran Tahir, Bas De Leede and many more. They have enough batting strength in their squad to rip apart any bowling attack and also have legendary T20 all rounders such as Pollard and Bravo along with Trent Boult to strengthen their bowling.

2 Sharjah Warriors

Led by Moeen Ali, the Warriors have several big international stars in their squad such as Dawid Malan, Evin Lewis, Mohammad Nabi, Chris Woakes, Marcus Stoinis, Rahmanullah Gurbaz and others. Despite not having big names in their squad, they have enough firepower to score big runs and defend them successfully with their bunch of all rounders.

3 Dubai Capitals

Dubai Capitals are led by the West Indian star Rovman Powell and have the services of other star players in the squad such as Hazratullah Zazai, Fabian Allen, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Sikandar Raza, Chamika Karunaratne, Dasun Shanaka, Robin Uthappa, Yusuf Pathan, Joe Root and many more. The Capitals have a star-studded Batting lineup in the competition which will give sleepless nights to all the teams in the world.

They have some promising stars in their bowling as well who can win matches for them on their day which makes Capitals one of the favourites to win the tournament.
