At the moment, the 2023 edition of the Caribbean Premier League is taking place. In the 18th fixture of the tournament took place where Barbados Royals locked horns with St Kitts and Nevis Patriots which took place at Kensington Oval, in Bridgetown, Barbados on Monday, September 4.

Barbados Royals won this encounter by eight wickets and Rahkeem Cornwall was awarded the Player of the Match for a brilliant match-winning performance. He completed his century in just 45 balls which is one of the fastest in the history of the Caribbean Premier League.

5. 49 balls - Chris Gayle Vs. Jamaica Tallawahs in 2016

Star West Indies opener, Chris Gayle comes on the fifth number when we talk about the five fastest centuries in the history of the Caribbean Premier League. He slammed a century in 49 balls against Jamaica Tallawahs on 4th July 2016.  The Universe Boss scored unbeaten 108 runs while chasing 192 runs which included six fours and 11 sixes in his innings.

4. 47 balls - Shimron Hetmyer Vs. Jamaica Tallawahs in 2018

The middle-order batter from West Indies, Shimron Hetmyer comes on fourth number when we talk about the five fastest centuries in the history of the Caribbean Premier League. He smashed a century in just 47 balls against the Jamaica Tallawahs on 18th August 2018. His innings included a total of 11 fours and five sixes. The left-hander's knock helped Guyana Amazon Warriors to post a mammoth total of 209 runs and he was awarded the Player of the Match for this brilliant innings.

3. 45 balls - Nicholas Pooran Vs. St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in 2020 Rahkeem Cornwall Vs. St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in 2023

On the third number comes Nicholas Pooran and Rahkeem Cornwall when we talk about the five fastest centuries in the history of the Caribbean Premier League. Both of them scored the century in just 45 balls. Pooran scored his ton back in 2020 whereas on the other hand, Cornwall scored his hundred in the ongoing edition of the Caribbean Premier League. Both of them scored the ton against same opponent, St Kitts and Nevis Patriots.

2. 42 balls - Andre Russell vs Trinbago Knight Riders in 2016

Star West Indies batter, Andre Russell comes on second number when we talk about the five fastest centuries in the history of the Caribbean Premier League. He scored his ton in just 42 balls. The match was played against Trinbago Knight Riders on 5th August 2016. His century came when his team Jamaica Tallawahs were struggling at 67 for four.

On the top position comes the century from star West all-rounder, Andre Russell when we talk about the five fastest centuries in the history of the Caribbean Premier League. The right-hand batter scored his century in just 40 balls which came against Trinbgao Knight Riders on 10th August 2018. His knock came when his team needed to chase the target of 209 runs. His innings included six boundaries and 13 sixes.
