India played its fourth group match of the Women’s 20-20 World Cup against Ireland on Monday, February 20. The Indian team won the toss and decided to bat first. During this, Ireland's wicketkeeper Mary Waldron appeared in a very unique way. Waldron was wearing a very strange helmet while keeping.

Her helmet has started grabbing a lot of attention on social media. In the picture going viral, it was clearly seen that the Irish wicketkeeper was wearing a helmet of a different style. There was no part covering the head in this helmet, only the part covering the face was present.

Talking about the match, batting first, India started decently as the openers stitched a beautiful 62-run stand for the first wicket, however, Shafali Verma’s strike rate wasn’t up to the mark and she was dismissed in the 10th over by Irish skipper Laura Delany on the score of 24 runs off 29 balls.

India have qualified for the semifinals

Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur came to bat at no.3. Even her strike rate wasn’t impressive as she departed after scoring 13 runs off 20 balls. She failed to even hit a single boundary in the match. However, Smriti Mandhana's superb innings proved to be enough for the Indian team as she scored 87 runs off just 56 deliveries, which included 9 fours and 3 sixes, and helped the team to achieve a respectful total of 155 runs.

Later, when Ireland came to chase the target, Gaby Lewis and Delany were batting well, however, the play stopped due to rain in the 9th over of the 2nd innings and the Irish team was five runs behind the DLS par score of 59. India won the match by 5 runs and qualified for the semifinals.

Talking about the Indian team’s performance in the group stage, they won two out of the three matches played before this, and in one the team had to face defeat. The team started the tournament with a match played against Pakistan. In that match, Team India clinched a spectacular victory by 7 wickets. After this, they played their next match against West Indies, in which, once again, Team India was victorious by 6 wickets. However, in the third match played against England, the Indian team had to face defeat as they lost the match by 11 runs.
