The World Test Championship (WTC) final is underway at the Oval, with Australia setting India a target of 444 runs in the final innings. Australia came out to bat on Day 4 with the intent to score quick runs, and they managed to do so and declared their innings at 270-8.  With a total of 137 overs scheduled across the remainder of this Test, India has challenging sessions ahead of them to get closer to the trophy.

Meanwhile, during India's second innings on Saturday, a man proposing to his girlfriend was caught on camera and turned everyone's attention towards them. Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill opened the innings for India, and the lovely event occurred a few overs later. A man proposed to his girlfriend sitting next to him and she didn't hesitate to say 'yes'. He then put a ring on her finger before sealing their love with a kiss.

The incident happened during the fifth over of the final innings and the former Australian captain Ricky Ponting said on air, "People will do anything to come on the television". This is not the first time we have seen fans consider cricket stadiums as venues for proposing, with some taking it as an opportunity to go viral on social media.

On Day 3 of the WTC final, a photo of a fan girl of Shubman Gill posing with a placard requesting India’s opening batter to marry her went viral on social media. The girl was seen holding a banner with the message "Marry Me Subhman" and a love emoji.

Players take tea on Day 4 as Boland removes Gill

Chasing a massive target in the final innings, Rohit and Gill gave a solid start for Team India, but Scott Boland made a breakthrough just before the tea break. Gill was caught at slip by Cameron Green, but the catch created controversy as TV replays appeared to show it had been grassed, but the third umpire decided in Australia's favour. Gill walked off in disappointment as India suffered an early setback.
