The controversies which started from the dismissal of Johnny Bairstow do not seem to be settling as now the media houses of both countries have joined in as well. There are various statements, opinions, etc all coming in from former players, and coaches regarding the incident of controversial stumping of England’s wicketkeeper batter Jonny Bairstow on the final day at Lord's Test.
The match between both teams ended on Sunday but the dispute over that run-out still continues with the media houses of both countries continuously targeting their counterpart. After Monday's papers in the United Kingdom took a dig at the Australian team over the controversial Bairstow dismissal, the Aussie media hit back with a 'crybabies' tag for Ben Stokes and his team on Tuesday morning.
West Australia published pictures of Stokes as a baby along with the Ashes trophy and a new ball on their front page with a fitting tagline – ‘Crybabies’.
Here is how Twitter reacted to the post:
Stokes destroyed the Australian attack, hit nine sixes and nearly won a match England were given a 1% chance of winning

Ben stokes said that he would have never allowed his team to win like that (baristow case), This guy stokes should be the first person to write a long sorry letter to New Zealand after how English team robbed an Odi world cup from them, just because cricket rules allowed it 👍

It will not be wrong to say it is going to be one cracker of a game with both the team looking to go hard at each other in the games to follow and the series promise to be a cracker with emotions flying so how. However, after this image from the Australian media went viral Ben Stokes also took a dig against the Australian newspaper for mocking him for his comments regarding the controversial dismissal of Jonny Bairstow.
Citing this tweet, England’s captain Stokes also went on to reply “That’s definitely not me, since when did I bowl with the new ball.”
Australia and England will be locking horns against each other in the third Test match of the series. With Nathan Lyon ruled out of the Ashes series it will certainly be a huge challenge for the Australians. Todd Murphy is expected to come into the squad in place of Lyon. English team finds themselves in a do-or-die situation as Australians lead the series 2-0.
