India beat the West Indies by seven wickets in the 3rd T20I at Providence Stadium in Guyana. Riding on top-notch performances from Suryakumar Yadav, Kuldeep Yadav, and Tilak Verma, India kept their hope alive in the ongoing series. Suryakumar hammered a magnificent half-century, while Kuldeep picked up three wickets.

Earlier, West Indies skipper Rovman Powell won the toss and opted to bat first. His decision did go very well with the team as opener Kyle Mayers and Brandon King added 55 runs for the first wicket. Mayers, in his inning, scored 25 runs off 20 balls with the help of three fours and a six. King missed out on his half-century as he scored 42 runs off 42 balls with the help of five fours and a six.

Meanwhile, when the hosts were looking comfortable during their innings, Kuldeep Yadav bowled an amazing comeback over. He dismissed Nicholas Pooran and King in the 15th over and pulled India back into the game. However, a fiery inning from Carrebian skipper Powell helped the hosts post a competitive total of 159/5. He scored an unbeatable 40 runs off 19 balls with the help of one four and three sixes. For India, Kuldeep took three wickets, while Axar Patel and Mukesh Kumar got one wicket each.

Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Verma led India to the victory

Chasing 160 runs, India got the worst possible start; opener Shubman Gill and debutant Yashasvi Jaiswal failed to capitalise on the opportunity. Both were dismissed within the first powerplay, as Gill scored 6 runs off 11 balls while Jaiswal scored 1 run off 2 balls. However, Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Verma tried to rescue India as they added 87 runs for the third wicket.

Suryakumar Yadav hammered a magnificent half-century as he scored 83 runs off just 44 balls with the help of ten fours and four sixes. He smocked all opposition bowlers and toyed with them around the park. Meanwhile, Tilak continued to do well with the bat in the T20I series. He scored an unbeaten 49 runs off 37 balls with the help of four fours and a six. With this victory, India kept this series alive as they trailed the hosts by 2-1 in the five-match series.
