On Wednesday, Adidas launched a video unveiling the Team India jersey for the upcoming ODI World Cup. With less than two weeks to go for the mega event, fans are excited for their favourite teams to go well and win the World Cup this year.

The theme song, 'Dil Jashn Bole' was also released on Wednesday afternoon. A couple of hours later, India's jersey partner released an anthem of their own for the team. The video length is 2 minutes 21 seconds. It has been captioned as "Impossible Nahi Ye Sapna, 3 Ka Dream Hai Apna", which means India's dream to win the third ODI World Cup is possible.

The video features skipper Rohit Sharma, former India skipper Virat Kohli, vice-captain Hardik Pandya, youngster Shubman Gill, and pacer Mohammed Siraj. Shardul Thakur, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, and wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav also make an appearance.

Adidas gives tri-colour bands as a tribute

The jersey has a conventional design, but the iconic three white shoulder stripes have been replaced with tricolour bands. This change in design change is a tribute to India’s rich cultural heritage and shows national pride. The jersey's design is the creation of Delh-born designer Aaquib Wani.

In the jersey, there are two prominent stars just above the Indian Cricket Board logo. It symbolizes India’s two historic triumphs in the ODI World Cup. This symbolizes the Men in Blue's cricketing achievements on the world stage. The change in the stripes to tri-colour was the masterstroke by the brand. There will be no Dream 11 logo during the World Cup as the Cricket Governing Body does not allow anything except the team's name in the middle of the jersey.

With less than two weeks away, fans and former cricketers are enthusiastic for their favourite team to take the field. The unveiling of India’s jersey makes the excitement double and marks that the mega sporting event is around the corner.

India will be in home conditions and they would like to win the trophy for the third time. The two-time World Champions are yet to win a major trophy since their last Champions Trophy victory in 2013.
