The Australian cricket team is currently clashing against England in the Ashes 2023 series. Australia won the first match by 2 wickets on June 21 at Edgbaston, Birmingham. The 2nd Test is set to be played on June 28 at the Lord’s in London. However, Australia’s veteran Test opener David Warner didn’t have a great outing with the bat as he scored only 9 and 36 runs in the 1st and 2nd innings respectively.

Meanwhile, ahead of the 2nd Test, a video has gone viral where Warner was seen playing cricket with his little daughter, Indi Rae. Indi was seen batting while Warner was bowling to her in the nets. The left-handed batter is often seen posting videos on social media which helped him to earn a massive fan following. However, many fans have reacted to this video and shared their views on social media.

I’ve always said the <2024 T20> World Cup will be my final game: David Warner

Warner recently opened up on taking retirement from the longest format of the game ahead of the Ashes series. Warner hasn’t had a great time in the longest format for the past few years now. Interestingly, he also revealed that the 20-20 World Cup in 2024 might be his last international game.

“I’ve always said the <2024 T20> World Cup will be my final game, but I think I probably owe it to myself and my family. If I can score runs here, and continue to play back in Australia, I can definitely say I won’t be playing that West Indies series. If I get through this and I can make the Pakistan series, I will definitely finish up then. For me, I’ve always played every game as if it were my last. That’s my style of cricket.

I enjoy being around the guys, I love being part of the team and trying to be that ball of energy in the group. I want to just keep working as hard as I can to get there. I want to play the 2024 World Cup, it’s something at the backend of my mind. We’ve got a lot of cricket before that. And then I think it stops in February. For me, then I have to play the IPL, and some of the other franchise leagues and then get into the rhythm to play that, in June. Will be a bit of cricket around to play,” Warner was quoted as saying by Sportstar.
