India opening batter Shafali Varma has claimed that a leading airline mistreated her and didn't let her board her flight. As claimed by her on Twitter, she was meant to travel from Delhi to Varanasi. However, despite reaching on time (again as claimed by her), she wasn't allowed to take her flight. Varma even claimed rude behavior from the staff members.

On the other hand, the rules for boarding a domestic flight are as follows:-

Domestic Travel
- Check-in counters closes 60 minutes prior to scheduled departure time.
- Boarding gates close 25 minutes prior to departure at all airports. Passengers must be present at the boarding gate no later than the time specified by IndiGo when they check in or any subsequent announcements made at the airport.

- IndiGo recommends that Customers report for Check-in at least 2 hours prior to the departure of the scheduled flight. Passenger journey will be smoother if they allow themselves ample time to comply with the Check-in timelines. IndiGo reserves the right to cancel a Customer’s reservation if he/she does not comply with the check-in timelines. (As written on the official website of the airline)

Shafali Varma produced her best bowling figures against Bangladesh

Meanwhile, the Delhi Capitals player in the WPL took three wickets in the low-scoring thriller against Bangladesh last month. In the second T20I of the three-match series, the Women In Blue were restricted to 95/8. However, the visitors made a comeback with the ball and took the game to the last over with three wickets to take.

Varma, not known for her bowling, was asked to defend 10 runs or take three wickets. The 19-year-old did the latter and won the game for her side by eight runs. At this point, India players such as skipper Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana, and Jemimah Rodrigues are playing in The Hundred competition in England. On the other hand, Varma played in the competition in 2021 for Birmingham Pheonix.
