The birth of a new social media program has taken the world by storm in the last few days, as Meta's newly launched application 'Threads' has experienced a record-breaking launch, with a total of 30 million downloads in the first 24 hours of its going live. Several celebrities from other nations have joined the app and made their presence known.

A handful of cricketers have adopted the trend and begun using threads, the most recent being Australian star David Warner. As he joined the social media platform, Australia skipper Pat Cummins, along with India wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant, trolled Warner. Cummins replied to Warner's first thread post and said, "No dance videos on here, please." Pant also joined the banter and said, "Best advice, bro."

It's worth noting that Warner is nothing short of a social media celebrity, and his reels on the photo-sharing app Instagram have been a viral smash for years. Warner has earned over a million Indian followers by broadcasting short videos of numerous Indian language songs, particularly Telugu. He, along with his daughters and wife, shares reels and short videos on different and latest trends.

Can Australia win the historic Ashes series?

Notably, David Warner and Pat Cummins are currently representing Australia in the ongoing third Test of the Ashes in 2023. After leading the series 2-0, Australia is looking to continue its dominance. The team has a lead of 142 runs in the second inning and is yet to complete their innings.

It's worth noting that if Australia wins this game, it will be their first series victory on English soil in 21 years. Lastly, when they won the Ashes in England, it was in the 2000–2001 series. However, Cummins and company have outperformed the hosts in the first two games and will be looking forward to doing the same in the ongoing game.
