The Super Four round of the ongoing Asia Cup 2023 got underway on September 6 with the Pakistan vs Bangladesh match. After this game, the tournament had two off days, i.e. on September 7 and 9. On September 9, the defending champions, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will play their reverse fixture. In the previous game between both teams in Group stages, the Lankan Lions tamed the Bangladesh Tigers.

Meanwhile. this weekend (September 10), the reverse fixture between India and Pakistan will be played. The previous game between these teams ended with no result after the Men In Blue's innings. Meanwhile, talking about the upcoming mega clash, it has been given a reserve day. No other games have been given such privilege as there will be back-to-back games in between apart from the Indo-Pak game.

PCB seeks restitution from ACC for financial losses in Asia Cup 2023

Meanwhile, the dispute between the Pakistan Cricket Board and the Asian Cricket Council. It has been reported that an email exchange happened between PCB chair Zaka Ashraf and ACC president, Jay Shah. Apparently, the PCB is looking for compensation for financial losses during the ongoing tournament.

Ashraf is seeking compensation for financial losses that occurred due to rainfall in Sri Lanka. Talking about the ticket prices, the India vs. Pakistan (Group Stages) match was priced at $5, while tickets for the India vs. Nepal match were priced at double that, at $10. On the other hand, Ashraf's predecessor, Najam Sethi also questioned the way the venue changes were made for the ongoing Super Four round.

“Indian Cricket Board/ACC informed PCB today that they had decided to shift the next India-Pak match from Colombo to Hambantota because of rain forecasts. Within one hour they changed their mind and announced Colombo as the venue. What’s going on? Is India afraid to play and lose to Pakistan? Look at the rain forecast!” the former PCB chief wrote.
