The 20th match of the Indian Premier League was played between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Delhi Capitals (DC) on Saturday, April 15 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. RCB bowlers dominated DC batters throughout the game and handed the David Warner-led team their 5th consecutive loss of the season by 23 runs.

Talking about the match, DC won the toss and invited RCB to bat first. Virat Kohli gave a flying start to the team in the powerplay once again, and Faf du Plessis played a few big shots too before a screamer by Aman Khan at mid-wicket sent him back. Kohli and Mahipal Lomror tried to take things ahead after the powerplay. The former RCB skipper got another fifty but then holed out to a juicy full toss. Glenn Maxwell came out at no.4 and was smashing the spinners well.

However, he was deceived into a false shot to Kuldeep Yadav and then began a brain fade for RCB, as they lost three wickets in three balls across two overs, with Dinesh Karthik getting a golden duck. A few puzzling strategies calls also made heads turns as they sent Harshal Patel at number 5, RCB used Anuj Rawat as an impact player, and kept Hasaranga and Parnell from entering the game.

Brilliant bowling performance by RCB

Chasing the target, DC had a horrible start as they lost their first three batters on the score of just 2 runs. Skipper Warner got a great start but couldn't convert it into a big one. They kept losing wickets in a regular interval of time, however, Manish Pandey, who was playing at his domestic home ground, kept one end safe and scored a brilliant half-century.

However, later, Pandey got trapped LBW by Wanindu Hasaranga, who wasn't having a great game until then. And it proved to be the final nail as they were able to score only 151 runs after losing 9 wickets in 20 overs.
