South Africa will face England in Semifinal

Talking about the match, Bangladesh won the toss and opted to bat first. But the decision proved wrong as they were bundled out for just 113 runs. Bangladesh lost both their opener within the powerplay. However, skipper Nigar Sultana and Sobhana Mostary steadied the ship and stitched a 33-run stand for the third wicket, but that came off 37 deliveries, which increased the pressure on both batters and they couldn’t switch the gears.

South African skipper Marizanne Kapp and Ayabonga Khaka picked up 2 wickets each. Coming to chase the target, the South African openers Wolvaardt and Tazmin Brits got off to a very slow start and survived some chances. They made full use of the given chances as both batters smashed half-centuries and managed to scale the total down without losing a wicket.

Wolvaardt scored 66 runs off 56 balls, which included 7 fours and 1 six, while Brits scored 50 runs off 51 deliveries. She smashed 4 boundaries during her innings. With this win, the host nation are still alive and will meet England in the semifinal.
