In the first T20I against Ireland, India registered a victory by 2 runs after rain stopped the game. Pacer Jasprit Bumrah led the team and won the Player of the Match award for his fantastic bowling performance. However, a concern erupted for team management as left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh failed to perform in death overs.

Despite bowling well in the powerplay, Arshdeep failed to improve his performance in the death overs. He gave away 22 runs in the 20th over of the game, which helped Ireland put up a fighting total. Arshdeep had been very poor with the ball in the later half of the game. He also bowls unwanted no-balls, which is fuming fans and cricket experts. Due to his poor performance, Arshdeep has been brutally trolled on social media.

It is worth noting that Indian Team Management picked Arshdeep ahead of Mukesh Kumar. Mukesh made his international debut in all three formats in the last month and has been phenomenal with the bowl both in powerplay and death overs. It will be interesting to see if the team management led by Arshdeep or Mukesh, makes a comeback in the second T20I game.

Rinku Singh and Prasidh Krishna make their T20I debuts

Earlier, India skipper Jasprit Bumrah won the toss and opted to bowl first. His decision went well with the team, as he took two wickets in the first over. India fielded a young playing XI, including two debutants. Kolkata Knight Riders' superstar Rinku Singh made his international debut. Meanwhile, pacer Prasidh Krishna also made his T20I debut after returning from an injury.

Krishna, along with Jasprit Bumrah, took charge of the bowling department. Both took two wickets each, while spinner Ravi Bishnoi also took two wickets. Pacer Arshdeep Singh took one wicket, but his poor outing in the last two overs proved disastrous for India. However, India won the match by 2 runs despite losing two quick wickets before rain interrupted the game.
