Wrestler Sunil Kumar contributed to India's medal haul with a hard-fought bronze in the 87kg Greco-Roman event, prevailing over Kyrgyzstan’s Atabek Azesbekov with a 2-1 score in the Bronze Medal match.
The medal rush in athletics continued with Harmilan Bains earning a well-deserved silver in the women's 800m, Avinash Sable securing another silver in the men's 5000m, and Kishore Kumar Jena impressing with a silver in the men's javelin event. By the end of the day's competitions, India had amassed an impressive total of 81 medals.

Harmilan Bains demonstrated her prowess by claiming a silver medal in the women's 800m Final, clocking a time of 2:03.75. Avinash Sable, who had earlier secured gold in the 3000m steeplechase, added another feather to his cap with a silver medal in the 5000m event.
The Women’s 4x400m relay team added to India's silver collection, finishing second behind Bahrain with a time of 3:27.85. Bahrain's performance was exceptional, as they set a new Games Record to secure the gold medal.
Remarkably, India equalled its record for the highest number of gold medals won at a single edition of the Asian Games. Furthermore, in a mixed-race walking event spanning 35km, the pair of Ram Baboo and Manju Rani proudly brought home a bronze medal for India.
