India skipper Harmanpreet Kaur has been fined for her unruly behaviour during the 3rd ODI against Bangladesh. The Apex Cricket Council has fined her 75 percent of match fees and added three demerit points to her record. That means if she gets another demerit point in the next two years, Harmanpreet will face one or two match bans, depending on the format.

After the on-field umpire called her out, she smashed the stumps with her bat. During the post-match presentation ceremony, Harman also spoke out against the umpiring. After the game, Kaur also misbehaved with Bangladesh captain Nigar Sultana. The game concluded in a draw when the Women in Blue were unable to chase down 226 runs in 50 overs.

Speaking about the incident, Harmanpreet Kaur went all out against the umpires and said they needed to be prepared for it in the future. "There was a lot of learning from this game. "Even apart from the cricket, the type of umpiring that was happening there surprised us very much. The next time we are coming to Bangladesh, we'll have to make sure we have to deal with this kind of umpiring, and accordingly, we'll have to prepare ourselves", said Harmanpreet during the post-match presentation ceremony.

"Should have behaved in another way", Bangladesh skipper slams Kaur

Meanwhile, Bangladesh skipper Nigar Sultana slammed Harmanpreet Kaur for her behaviour. "It is totally her problem. I have nothing to do with it. As a player, she could have shown better manners. I can't tell you what happened, but it didn't feel right to be there with my team. It wasn't the right environment. That's why we went back. Cricket is a game of discipline and respect", said Sultana.

She further defended umpiring standards and said the umpire's decision is final. "The umpires wouldn't give her out if she wasn't out. We had umpires from men's international cricket, so they were good umpires. What are they going to say about the caught or run-out dismissals ? We have respected their decisions. The umpire's decision is the final decision, whether I like it or not. Why didn't we behave in that way ?", Said Sultana.
