His insatiable hunger for runs has earned him an impressive tally of 75 centuries and 131 fifties, making him one of the most prolific batsmen in the history of the game.

Not just limited to batting feats, Kohli's prowess as a leader is equally remarkable. With the joint most hundreds as a captain and the best average as a skipper, he has steered India to numerous memorable victories. His all-around brilliance is evident in the numerous Player of the Match and Player of the Series awards he has amassed over the years.

"His numbers and his stats speak", Rahul Dravid said of Virat Kohli

Speaking about Virat Kohli's 500th international game, India coach Rahul Dravid praised him. He said that his patience and dedication have been phenomenal. "I didn’t know that this was his 500th game. I am not a great one for numbers. It’s great to hear that. It’s fantastic; he’s a real inspiration to so many players within this team, without a doubt, and to so many boys and girls back home in India," said Dravid.

"His numbers and his stats speak for themselves; it’s all there in the book. For me, what’s been great to see firsthand has been the effort and the work that he puts in behind the scenes when no one is watching. That is reflected in the fact that he has been able to play 500 games," he added.

"That’s not come easy; that’s come because of a lot of hard work behind the scenes, a lot of sacrifices that he has made throughout his career, and he’s willing to continue to make. That’s great for a coach because you can see a lot of young players will look to that and be inspired by that," Dravid continued.
