The 2nd Test between West Indies and India at Queen's Park Oval ended in a draw as rain played spoilsport on Day 5. With that result, India sealed the series 1-0. West Indies, who had a 365-run target, finished on 76/2 as Day 5 got washed out. The first session was cancelled when the rain did not stop for a while, and the umpires scheduled the post-Lunch session.

But then it rained again, and the second session was cancelled. The rain ended again, and the covers were removed, with the match scheduled to continue. But the weather had other intentions, and the coverings were re-applied owing to dark clouds and heavy rain. The second Test ended in a tie.

Mohammed Siraj shines for India

Mohammed Siraj became Man-of-the-Match for the first time in Test cricket after taking 5 for 60 in the first innings of the second Test against the West Indies. His performance was even more amazing considering he was leading from the front in the absence of experienced players like. Despite the fact that this was only Siraj's 21st red-ball game for India, he responded to the occasion and cemented his reputation as a top-tier bowler.

The pacer stated, "This is my first Man of the Match award in Tests, so it’s a memory. There was no help for fast bowlers on this wicket. I had simple plans and executed them. When there’s no help for fast bowlers and yet you get wickets, it gives you confidence. Rohit bhai just asked me to keep doing what I have been doing."

As per the format, West Indies and India have been awarded four points each after the Trinidad Test got drawn. With an innings win in Dominica, India collected their first points of the new World Test Championship (WTC) cycle. They have played two matches and own 16 points along with a points percentage of 66.67. India now are in the second spot in the standings. West Indies, who are yet to open their account in the 2023-25 WTC cycle, hold the fifth spot.
