Star India batter Ishan Kishan, wicketkeeper-batsman, hammered a magnificent half-century against the West Indies in the second innings of the ongoing Test. Kishan scored 52 runs off just 34 balls with the help of four fours and two sixes. This was Kishan's maiden Test fifty, and his aggressive approach helped India take a comfortable lead in the game.

However, many were shocked when team management pushed Kishan up in the batting order as he came to bat at number 4. Fans and cricket pundits were shocked to see Virat Kohli being pushed down in the batting order. Meanwhile, after the day's game, Kishan revealed that it was Kohli's decision to send the left-hander up in the order.

"It was really special (the half-century). I knew what the team needed from me. Everyone backed me. Virat backed me up and told me, Go and play your game'. Let us hope we will finish the game tomorrow. It was Virat Bhai who took the initiative and told me that I should go in. There was a slow left-arm who was bowling. It was a good call for the team. Sometimes you need to take these calls," said Kishan after the day's play.

Will India be able to win the game?

With fiery batting performances from Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma, India posted a massive target of 365 runs in the second innings. Speaking about the same, Ishan Kishan said that team management was looking for the same target. He said, "We had the plan that we would play 10–12 overs after the rain break and score 70–80 runs. We wanted a 370-380 target."

Notably, in response to India's massive total, the West Indies posted 76 runs after losing two wickets on Day 4. Ace India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin dismissed West Indies skipper Kraig Braithwaite and Krik McKnezie on the cheap and helped India tighten their grip on the second Test. Notably, by winning this game, India will continue their 21-year winning streak against the hosts.
