India's experienced pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar has sparked speculations about his retirement from international cricket after he removed the word 'cricketer' from his Instagram bio. The Sunrisers Hyderabad pacer recently removed cricketer from his Instagram bio.

Bhuvneshwar’s Insta bio which previously had ‘Indian cricketer’ on bio, now has a bio that shows, "Indian 🇮🇳 Family First. Pet lover. Casual Gamer." He has been an important player in the Indian cricket team for several years, displaying exceptional skills with both the new ball and at the death overs.

Is Bhuvneshwar Kumar planning to retire before the ODI World Cup?

His ability to swing the ball while maintaining a disciplined line and length earned him a spot in India's limited-overs squad. Bhuvneshwar Kumar is expected to retire from international cricket following the India-Ireland series. According to the report, Ravichandran Ashwin might potentially retire from limited-overs cricket.

In November 2022, the bowler was also a member of the T20 World Cup team, where he played four matches and got three wickets. He last appeared in a Twenty20 International against New Zealand in Napier, when he went wicketless in four overs. He was also left out of the T20I series against the West Indies. He was also not a part of the Indian Cricket Board contract this year and might not be in plans for the upcoming ODI World Cup as well.

The arrival of young bowlers like Mohammed Siraj, Navdeep Saini, and Prasidh Krishna has indeed injected new energy into India’s fast-bowling department. These young bowlers have showcased their potential and contributed to the team’s success, leading to increased competition for a place in the playing XI.

The pacer has played 21 Tests, 117 ODIs and 48 T20Is for India, taking 63, 132 and 49 wickets, respectively. He is the only Indian bowler to take five-wicket hauls in all three formats. Fans and followers of the veteran have expressed concern and curiosity in his decision to change his Instagram bio. Some have questioned if he intends to retire from cricket, while others have voiced confidence that he will make a triumphant comeback shortly.
