As soon as India lost to England in the semi-finals of the ongoing 20-20 World Cup 2022 on November 10, Thursday, many former cricketers and players started coming up with their opinions on their social media accounts and the Men in Blue would take a lot of time to come out of the loss. While many former cricketers came out to lash at the Indian team, Suresh Raina, one of India’s most loved allrounders, gave a unique suggestion for the team.
For the unversed, the Men in Blue got thrashed out of the ongoing showpiece event in the knockouts by England after failing to defend the total of 168 which they put on the back of Hardik Pandya’s 63 and Virat Kohli’s greathearted 50.
Raina, who took to Twitter to cheer the Indian team, said that they deserve a brief break and an away time with their families and notably, a fresh Indian team under the leadership of Hardik Pandya will take on New Zealand in a three-match T20I series from Friday.
Heart-breaking loss for the team: Suresh Raina
Conveying that it was heartbreaking for himself and it would have been for the team, Raina said that he was proud of the way that India played and lauded the team for giving it their all in the tough tournament.
“Heart-breaking loss for the team but proud of the boys, and the Bharat Army, for giving it their all! I’m positive we’ll bounce back soon, but first, a well-deserved break or vacation and time with the family,” Raina tweeted.

Rohit Sharma, the captain of the Indian team, said after the loss that the bowlers did not turn up on an important day and added that the team would look to address the concerns in the upcoming days.
“Pretty disappointed how it turned up today. We batted well at the backend to get that score. We were not up to the mark with the ball, we couldn't turn up today. It's all about handling the pressure in knockout games. All these guys have played enough to understand that,” said Rohit after the crushing defeat in the post-match interview.
