Chennai Super Kings is among the most consistent teams in the Indian Premier League. So far, they have won five IPL titles in 14 seasons. They have also won two Champions League trophies. 5. Ruturaj Gaikwad
In 2021, Ruturaj Gaikwad played one of the best innings of his life. He scored an unbeaten 101 runs off 60 balls against Rajasthan Royals which was a beautiful innings. Because of his score, CSK reached a target of 189 runs and was able to defend it. He hit five sixes and nine boundaries in that inning. Overall, it was a very fearless innings.
4. Murali Vijay
Murali Vijay’s 113 runs off 58 balls proved to be extremely helpful for CSK in the eliminators of 2012. They went on to score 222 runs at the loss of just five wickets. Moreover, it was a memorable match for CSK as they won the match by 86 runs. That was the fourth final entry for them and were on a hat trick to win the trophy.
3. Michael Hussey
The present CSK head coach and former player, Michael Hussey has played some crucial innings for the team throughout his career. However, the knock against Kings XI Punjab in 20228 is still the third-highest score for CSK. In that inning, he scored nine sixes and eight boundaries. That was just the second match of the IPL and Hussey went on to play a beautiful innings.
2. Shane Watson
2018 was a comeback year for CSK. It was one of the most important years and Shane Watson made sure that nobody could write CSK off. His 117 runs off 57 balls rescued the team from a tough position and won them their third IPL title. He scored eight sixes and 11 boundaries in that match. Watson’s score is the second-highest score for CSK till now.
1. Murali Vijay
On top is Murali Vijay again with his 127 runs against the Rajasthan Royals in 2010. He smashed the bowlers that day for 11 sixes and eight boundaries. It is still the highest score for CSK and no player has been able to go past it. Vijay is a class striker of the ball and in that particular match, he showed how attacking he can be. The knock was also one of the best knocks for CSK.
