Sourav Ganguly, India's former captain, thinks that India's debutant Sarfaraz Khan is more of a Test than a T20 player. He is a brilliant batter and his recent inclusion in the Test team has helped India discover a solid middle-order batter for the long run. The confidence with which he plays the ball and the fearless approach he has makes him an important member of the team. However, as per Ganguly, Sarfaraz can be a better option in the Test as compared to T20s.

"I think he’s more of a five-day player. His game is suited for that. T20 is a different format. And the amount of runs he scored in domestic cricket, in the Ranji trophy and in first-class cricket has been phenomenal. And as they say, if you score runs, it doesn’t go to waste. And that’s exactly what’s happened to Sarfaraz."

Moreover, as the IPL is approaching and Sarfaraz is in red-hot form, two teams are planning to take him, KKR and CSK. However, after listening to Ganguly's opinion on Sarfaraz, the IPL owners will be in great confusion as to whether they should keep him in his team or not.

'I like talking while playing' - Sarfaraz Khan's mantra while batting

Making his way into the Indian team, Sarfaraz Khan has proven to be a good addition to the team. In his debut Test match, he scored two back-to-back half-centuries in the 3rd Test match against England. He's a beautiful hitter of the ball and has brilliant shot-selection ability. However, he has revealed his batting mantra post the 3rd Test match.

Sarfaraz said, "I spoke to Jadeja at lunchtime and requested him to talk to me while playing. I like talking while playing. It was my first time. I told him that when I go out to bat, keeps talking to me while playing. He kept talking and supported me a lot while I was batting."
