In an event held on 14th February to rename the SCA Stadium in Rajkot to Niranjan Shah Cricket Stadium, ICB Secretary Jay Shah announced that Rohit Sharma will continue to captain even in the upcoming T20 World Cup to be held in the Caribbean Islands and the US in June. It is a very important development and has put any speculations and doubts to rest regarding the participation of Rohit Sharma in the tournament.
