MS Dhoni spotted in temple

MS Dhoni is the most successful captain for India. The 42-year-old skipper has won every possible major trophy in his captaincy stint. Dhoni has been recovering from a knee surgery he had after winning the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. The wicket-keeper batter is currently rehabbing and looking for a comeback in the upcoming season of the rich cash league. The best finisher in the world recently visited Deori Mandir to seek blessings from Goddess Maa Durga ahead of IPL 2024. The temple is located around 60 km from Ranchi in Tamar village.

The 42-year-old has already begun batting practice in the nets at Ranchi's Jharkhand State Cricket Association Stadium in preparation for the forthcoming Indian Premier League season. A fan shared a video on twitter showing the former India skipper away from the field. The great cricketer may be seen in a line at the Deori Mata temple, alongside other fans.

Dhoni is also the joint-most successful captain in IPL as he won 5 trophies with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) with the last one coming in the previous edition of the league. He is eager to return to the field and win the sixth trophy as well.

I am able to keep flawlessly during IPL games: Rishabh Pant

His former India teammate Rishabh Pant has explained his relationship with the former skipper, "I always find it difficult to explain my relationship with him (MS Dhoni). I could share anything and everything with him. Even those things that I'd normally not share with anyone else. Once during training, I told him that I am able to keep flawlessly during IPL games but when it comes to international games, I fumble or make mistakes."

"I asked him for advice and he just told me casually to keep the same mentality like for an international game. As if it was that easy and I told him that, 'Bhaiyya, you are a legend, I'm just starting' (laughs). I sometimes joke with him that, 'You became a legend and left all the pressure on me, that's unfair."
