In a recent piece of news, the young Uttar Pradesh pacer Kartik Tyagi stunned everyone with his sheer pace in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2023. Notably, Uttar Pradesh are locking horns with Gujarat in the preliminary quarter-final of the tournament at the PCA IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali.

Kartik Tyagi conceded 27 runs in his quota of 4 overs to scalp one wicket. Meanwhile, he also left everyone in shock with his sensational speed of 152 kmph. His amazing pace and brilliant bowling have also attracted a lot of reactions from cricket fans over social media.

Speaking of the action of the ongoing match between Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat, the UP skipper Karan Sharma won the toss and asked Gujarat to bat first. Batting first, it was only Saurav Chauhan for Gujarat who crossed the individual mark of 30+ runs, scoring 32 runs off 21 balls, with 4 fours and a six.

Other than him, Hemang Patel and Chirag Gandhi played the knocks of 20 and 19 runs, respectively to help Gujarat post a total of 127 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. The veteran pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar once again shone for Uttar Pradesh and scalped 3 wickets at the cost of just 21 runs in his quota of 4 overs, alongside two wickets picked by Mohsin Khan.

Other than Bhuvi and Mohsin, Nitish Rana, Jasmer Dhankhar, and Kartik Tyagi also claimed a wicket each.

While chasing the target, UP have scored 40 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 7 overs so far, while chasing the target of 128. Nitish Rana and Sameer Rizvi are there in the middle on the individual scores of 26 and 5 runs, respectively.

Coming back to Kartik Tyagi, the 22-year-old is also expected to make his India debut very soon owing to his good performances in domestic cricket.
