Cameron Green, Nathan Lyon shine in Australia's comprehensive win

Asked to bat first, Australia were put on the back foot. They lost some early wickets, but all-rounder Cameron Green notched up his second Test hundred to bail his team out of trouble. His last-wicket partnership of 116 runs with Josh Hazlewood took Australia to 383 in the first innings.

New Zealand, in reply, were bundled out for 179 runs after Nathan Lyon wreaked havoc with a four-wicket haul. The visitors added 164 more runs in the second innings. Coming into the ground on Sunday, they needed seven more wickets and finished things off in one session. It was spin wizard Lyon who once again led the procedure for Aussies with a six-for. The second match will start on March 8 at the Hagley Oval, Christchurch.
