Australia's opening batter David Warner has retired from Test and ODI cricket. He announced his retirement from 50-over cricket with immediate effect during the Test series against Pakistan. However, Warner has kept the door open for Champions Trophy 2025. Meanwhile, the left-hander announced his retirement from the longest format a few months back. After the end of the third Test, his Test career has come to an end.

- 335 not out against Pakistan in 2019-20
In the Pink Ball Test at home against Pakistan in the 2019-20 series, Australia won the toss and elected to bat first. Apart from losing Joe Burns early, everything went well against the Asian side. One of the tormentors in chief for the visitors was Warner's 335 not out which helped the Aussies reach 589/3. In reply, Pakistan managed 302 and 239 all-out, losing the game by an innings and 48 runs.
2. Quickfire 253 against New Zealand in 2015
In what was Mitchell Johnson's last Test, Australia won the toss and elected to bat first on an unusually flat wicket in Perth. Warner scored 253 runs in just 286 balls including 24 fours and two sixes and alongside Usman Khawaja's 121, the team reached 559/9 before declaring. In reply, the visitors reached 624 all-out with a lead of 65 runs. In the second inning, the home team amassed 385/7, asking NZ to chase 321 in two sessions. The visitors ended with 106/2 before the game ended in a draw.
3. Double hundred against South Africa in 2022-23
In the second Test of the three-match Test series, Australia won the toss and elected to field first. Apart from Marco Jansen and Temba Bavuma, the entire batting collapsed at 189. In reply, thanks to David's 200 and contributions from others, the team reached 575/8 declared. In reply, the Proteas were bowled out for 204, losing the game by an innings and 182 runs.
4. 180 against India in 2011-12
In what was a forgettable series for India, their batting in the third Test in Perth was forgettable for both innings. After batting twice, the team managed 161 and 171 all-out after being asked to bat first. In reply to 161 in the first innings, Australia amassed 369 with Warner scoring 180 runs. India lost the game by an innings and 37 runs.
5. 164 against Pakistan in 2023-24
In Warner's farewell Test series, he scored 164 runs in the first Test. Batting first, the home team managed 487 runs. In reply, Pakistan managed 271 runs and Australia batted again and amassed 233/5. Chasing 450, the Asian side was bowled out for 90 runs.
