WATCH: Trent Boult takes mind-boggling catch to dismiss Laurie Evans in ILT20 game

Boult took a magnificent running catch, sending Evans on his way back to the pavilion for a two-ball duck. Evans attempted to loft a full delivery from Fazal haq Farooqi but failed to time the ball properly.

Trent Boult is one of the finest bowlers of this generation. The New Zealand pacer is currently playing in the  International League T20 (ILT20) with MI Emirates and the left-arm seamer took a sensational one-handed catch to dismiss Laurie Evans of Abu Dhabi Knight Riders in match number 12, at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Sunday, January 28. 

Boult took a magnificent running catch, sending Evans on his way back to the pavilion for a two-ball duck. Evans attempted to loft a full delivery from Fazalhaq Farooqi but failed to time the ball properly. The ball was skied to the left of long-off, where Boult sprinted fast, made a full-length dive, and pushed his left hand out to complete a spectacular grab over his head. 

MI Emirates defeated the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders by eight wickets in the ILT20 match on Sunday. MI Emirates won the toss and decided to bowl first. Abu Dhabi Knight Riders performed well as they posted 188/5 on the board, but the Emirates reached the target in 19 overs.

He is the joint-leading wicket-taker in the ongoing edition of ILT20 2024, having claimed 10 wickets in five matches at an average of 12.40. His teammate Farooqi has 10 scalps in five games, with an average of 14.60. Chris Woakes, Maheesh Theekshana, Dushmantha Chameera, and Daniel Sams have all claimed seven wickets each. 

Andre Russell played a blazing unbeaten knock of 46 in 17 balls. Michael Pepper, Alishan Sharafu and Sam Hain also made good contributions. Farooqi was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3/35. Boult finished figures of 1/37 from his four overs.  Muhammad Waseem and Kusal Perera stitched a partnership of 110 runs for the opening wicket in 9.5 overs. The former was unbeaten at the score of 89 and the latter scored 54, Pooran scored 33 off 19 deliveries. 

Ali Khan and David Willey picked one wicket each for the side. The MI Emirates will face Desert Vipers in their upcoming match and the Knight Riders will be facing Gulf Giants.
