Yuvraj Singh has been one of the most underrated cricketers for India. The left-handed all-rounder has been the man of the tournament of the Men in Blue in two World Cups. The Southpaw has never been given the credit he should have been given. The batter has retired from cricket long back. The cancer fighter was known for his aggressive approach on the field and his dedication towards the country, he was suffering from cancer while he was participating in the 2011 World Cup and he played with the disease and won the Player of the Tournament.

The mother of Yuvraj Singh, Shabnam Singh, has reported that there has been a theft in the household of the former cricketer. A lump sum amount of 70,000 INR, along with precious jewellery mysteriously vanished from their residence in the Mansa Devi Complex, Panchkula. She also reveals, that there have been some unusual actions on his bank accounts.

The more suspicious is that two former domestic helpers, Lalita Devi hailing from Saketri, and Salinder Dass, are from Bihar, who suddenly disappeared from their positions approximately six months ago. During her absence in Gurugram last time, she trusted Lalita and Salinder with the care of her home.

Police investigate the case

When she returned on October 5, 2023, she was shocked to discover the disappearance of jewels housed in a locked almirah on the first floor. The stolen things included cash and jewels.  Her suspicions naturally moved to the previous employees who had left in unusual circumstances over the Diwali festival.

The local police wasted no time in filing a case under Section 381 of the Indian Penal Code, which prevailed over theft by a servant or clerk. However, no arrests have been made so far. SHO Mansa Devi is maintaining the balance between conducting a detailed enquiry and handling media as well. The sensitivity of the case necessitates prudence when disclosing information to the public, as it may jeopardise efforts to apprehend the perpetrators.
