After playing a record-breaking innings against Mumbai Indians in qualifier 2, GT batter Shubman Gill is in chill mode. Gill, in his magnificent innings, scored a brilliant century. He scored 129 runs off 60 balls with the help of seven boundaries and 10 sixes before getting dismissed by Akash Madhwal.

With this fantastic century, Gill also became the Orange Cap holder, scoring 851 runs in 16 innings in the ongoing tournament. It includes three centuries against SRH, RCB and MI. Meanwhile, ahead of their final encounter against Chennai Super Kings, Gill posted a picture of him with the prestigious Orange Cap.

In his latest post, he can be seen hiding his face with the cap while sleeping on a couch. He posted the picture with two sleeping emoticons and an orange heart. Notably, if Gill clinches the Orange Cap, he will become the youngest player to do so. It's worth noting that former batter Sachin Tendulkar is the oldest player to win an orange Cap in IPL history.

"I hope he continues that form", says Rohit Sharma on Gill

After losing the game, Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma praised Shubman Gill for his amazing batting performance. He praised the youngster and said that he hoped Gill continues his form. "Shubman batted well, the wicket was good. They got 20-25 extra. We were positive after the first half. We have to credit Shubman. "I hope he continues that form," he said.

Notably, India is set to face Australia in the Test Championship finals at the iconic Oval Cricket Ground in London from June 7. India would expect Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill to continue to bat like how they did in the ongoing Indian Premier League. On the other hand, Gill and his teammates would like to beat Chennai Super Kings in the finals of IPL on 28th May before going ahead for the Test Championship.
