'Dhoni IPL trophy le jayega is baar'- Twitter over the moon as CSK defeat SRH quite convincingly in IPL 2023 encounter

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) continued their impressive run in the IPL 2023 as they defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by seven wickets in match 29th of the tournament. CSK won the toss and elected to bowl first at the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

SRH got off to a decent start with the openers adding 46 runs in the first six overs. However, Harry Brook's dismissal for just 28 off 13 deliveries put the brakes on the innings. None of the SRH batsmen could get going as Ravindra Jadeja put in a brilliant bowling performance, finishing with figures of 3/27 in his four overs.

Abhishek Sharma was the only SRH batsman who managed to get a decent score with 34 off 26 balls. The middle order crumbled under pressure and failed to make an impact. SRH eventually finished with a below-par total of 134/7 in their allotted 20 overs.

CSK, in response, got off to a solid start with Ruturaj Gaikwad and Faf du Plessis adding 30 runs in the first four overs. However, du Plessis was dismissed by Siddharth Kaul for 16 off 13 balls.

Devon Conway then walked in and played a brilliant innings, remaining unbeaten on 77 off 57 deliveries with the help of 12 fours and 1 six. Gaikwad, on the other hand, played a supporting role, scoring 35 off 30 balls with two fours.

The CSK batsmen kept the scoreboard ticking and eventually reached the target with four balls to spare, winning the match by seven wickets. It was a comprehensive performance by the home team, who looked in complete control throughout the match.

CSK's win takes them to the top of the points table, while SRH are still struggling to find their feet in the tournament. With several matches left to play, both teams will be looking to improve their performances in the coming days.
