The Indian cricket team are ahead with a 2-0 lead in the four-match Test series against Australia. By winning the Indore Test, India would like to take an unassailable lead in the Border Gavaskar Test series and even seal their spot in the WTC final in June. India's performance was undoubtedly exceptional but opener KL Rahul is still on the target of critics because of his poor form.

There are talks of dropping him from the team as he failed to provide anything special for the team in the first two Tests. It is expected that young sensation Shubman Gill is likely to open in the third Test with the Indian skipper Rohit Sharma. Meanwhile, the Indian players reached Indore on Saturday for the third test. On Sunday morning, Rahul along with his wife Athiya Shetty reached the Mahakal temple in Ujjain.

Rahul, recently, took a break for his wedding after the home series against New Zealand. On January 23, he got married to Athiya. Rahul joined the team on February 1 for the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. However, he continued his poor form, which was going on before the break.

KL Rahul will hope for a great comeback in the 3rd Test

Rahul scored only 20 runs in the first innings of the Nagpur Test against Australia and scored just 17 and 1 run in the first and second innings of the second match respectively. Because of this poor performance, Rahul is getting trolled a lot on social media, and many celebrities and former cricketers requested fans to not troll him. Well, it has to be seen whether Rahul can return to form after taking blessings from God.

Meanwhile, the third Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, which is scheduled to start on March 1, will be played without Australia skipper Pat Cummins. Due to his mother’s illness, Cummins had to fly home to Sydney after Australia lost the second Test. Australian fast bowler, Josh Hazlewood also returned back to his home due to an injury, he also missed out first two Tests.
