In the seventh game of the Women's T20 League Mumbai women beat Delhi by 8 wickets to register their third consecutive victory in the tournament. Mumbai dominated Delhi throughout the game as they bowled them out for just 105 runs. In response, they chased it with very ease with the spare 30 balls.

Earlier, after winning the Toss Delhi captain Meg Lanning decided to bat first. The decision didn't go well with the team as they were unable to play Mumbai bowlers. Delhi was restricted to 31 for 3 in 6.4 overs when Jemimah Rodrigues came to bat and tried to rescue her team. She along with skipper Lanning added 50 runs before getting dismissed by Saika Ishaque. Jemimah scored 25 runs off 18 balls while Lanning scored 43 runs off 41 balls.

For Mumbai Spinner Ishaque, Hayley Matthews and Issy Wong took three wickets each. They bundled Delhi to a below-par score making the task easy for the batters.

Mumbai becomes the only team to be undefeated

While Chasing 106 runs Mumbai started well as wicketkeeper-batter Yashika Bhatiya along with Matthews added 65 runs for the first wicket. Yashika scored 41 runs off 32 balls while Matthews hammered 32 runs off 31 balls. In the end captain Harmanpreet Kaur along with Nat Sciver-Brunt led Mumbai to a comfortable victory.

This is Mumbai's third win in as many games they are comfortably top-placed in the table with 6 points. On the other hand, Delhi tasted its first defeat after winning the first two games in the tournament. They are now in second place with 4 points.

Notably, Smriti Mandhana-led Bangalore is yet to win a game in the inaugural season of the Women's T20 League. They have lost all three games they played this season. In the next game, Bangalore will face UP. Meanwhile, fans react to Mumbai's dominating performance. A Twitter user said, "Mumbai is already the winner."
