Recently, Australia thrashed India in the World Test Championship final 2023. Now, with only 100 days left in the ODI World Cup 2023, the Apex Council has announced the schedule for the event. Both teams will play against each other on October 8 in Chennai. Notably, in March this year, both teams played each other in the ODI format with the Yellow Brigade emerging victorious.

Meanwhile, former Australia skipper Steve Smith has said that it will be great for the team to play the final against India in Ahmedabad. The venue in the western part of India can host more than 100,000.

"It will be great to play the 2023 ODI World Cup final against India in a packed Ahmedabad stadium. The atmosphere will be exciting."
