Evolution Championship Series 2024; featured games and dates

Evolution Championship Series (Evo) is one of the most popular fighting games tournaments hosted every year since 1996. This time around, the event will be held in the Las Vegas Convention Center West Hall.

Evo 2024 will take place From July 19 to 21. People who are planning to visit can get access to all the events with the all-inclusive ticket. This year, the event is also going to feature a much larger arcade arena.

Players will also have the option to engage with each other across various casual games and engage in different activities like cosplay contests, meet and greet, photo opps, etc.

The main tournament will also feature multiple fighting games, similar to all previous events. As for 2024, the Evo series will feature eight different fighting games. These are -

Street Fighter 6

Tekken 8

Guilty Gear -STRIVE

Mortal Kombat 1

Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising

The King of Fighters XV

Under Night In-Birth II

Street Fighter III

First Evo for Tekken 8

Since Tekken 8 was released recently, it will be the first appearance of the game in the Evo tournament. Street Fighter 6 on the other hand was also featured last year and will have its second appearance.

However, one game is beating every other in terms of nostalgia. Making its seventh appearance, Street Fighter III 3rd Strike is the longest-running game in the Evo ‘Throwback Game’ category. This year, the game will be celebrating its 25th anniversary alongside the 20th anniversary of Evo.

Last year’s Evo also saw over 9,000 players/visitors from multiple countries. Out of those, over 7,000 were visiting just for Street Fighter 6. This year is also expected to set new records, considering the great reception of Tekken 8 on launch.
