FIFA World Cup 2022: Group F- Belgium golden generation fail yet again, Morocco and Croatia go through to Round of 16

Group F came out with a surprising result as Morocco topped the group while Croatia edged past Belgium to head into the Round of 16. Let's look at how two games panned out in the FIFA World Cup 2022.

Canada vs Morocco (1-2)

Morocco with a win against Canada by 2-1 have topped Group F and have moved on to the Round of 16. They have gone past Croatia as well as Belgium in the team to emerge as the top team from their group. Chelsea's Hakim Ziyech and Youssef En- Nesyri ended up on the scoresheet for Morrocco and took the team home.

Morocco were dealt a blow as they scored an own goal but their defence prevailed later on and Morocco topped Group F with 7 points in 3 matches.

Croatia vs Belgium (0-0)

What was expected to be a high-scoring affair between the two world-class teams ended up as 0-0 draw. 2018 World Cup finalists Croatia needed just a draw to go into the Round of 16 as they had a point more than Belgium.

The golden generation of Belgium failed yet again as they could not score a single goal against Croatia and have crashed out of the FIFA World Cup with just 4 points in 3 games. The team consisting of the likes of Eden Hazard, Romelu Lukaku, Kevin de Bruyne and Thibaut Courtois have now failed again to win the World Cup after they crash out with just 4 points in 3 games.

Croatia who played the 2018 FIFA World Cup against France have yet again moved into the Round of 16 at Qatar and would be hoping for a great campaign ahead at the FIFA World Cup 2022.
