Raphael Varane

Raphael Varane

Raphael Varane has been one of the finest defender of this generation. He is currently playing for Manchester United in the English Premier League. Varane's current form has been a question for the side as the French center back has suffered from injuries in last few months. He feels suffocated in the club and believes that the club is pushing him out of the club as the Red Devils have denied to extend the players contract.

The former Real Madrid defender is also believed to be 'unimpressed by the lack of stability' at United this season. He is now free to discuss pre-contract agreements with other teams, and it's believed he's not sure if he wants to take a pay cut at United in the event that they come to an agreement on a new contract. He has missed seven games for the Red Devils this season, and 38 out of 138 in total since joining from Real Madrid in 2021.

Victor Lindelof's contract extension has been activated. Varane's future is still up in the air due to his connections to Lens and Bayern Munich, and no decision has been made about what will happen to him. Rapha is does not want to leave the club this month.

Manchester United transfer rumours

Le10Sport, claims that United and Lille are in talks regarding the signing of Leny Yoro, an 18-year-old centre back. The France U21 international is reportedly being pursued by the Red Devils, Manchester City, and their fierce rivals Liverpool. Although Lille is keen to retain onto Yoro, they are open to proposals that come close to his £78 million asking price.Paulo Fonseca's team has scored three goals and kept 11 clean sheets.

Neville wrote on social media on New Year's Eve, "If United are looking to renew Lindelof and Varane (on reduced terms) I’m worried. We have to start afresh as much as possible. Whilst these two aren’t bad players by any stretch, a message must be sent to everyone inside and outside of the club that it’s not going to tolerate the levels over the last few years."
