Football legend Cristiano Ronaldo could be in huge trouble after his actions over the weekend. The 39-year-old Al Nassr star came up with an obscene gesture to rival fans who were shouting Lionel Messi’s name. 

The two players have shared a heated rivalry on the pitch for the last two decades. The incident happened over the weekend when Al Nassr took on Al Shabab. It is to be noted that Al Nassr won the game 3-2 with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring a penalty in the 21st minute.

Is Cristiano Ronaldo in Trouble?

Portugal football legend and AL Nassr star Cristiano Ronaldo could be in massive trouble. The 39-year-old was seen throwing a lewd gesture at the Al Shabab fans after the game on Sunday. While the cameras didn’t catch the moment, the fans present at the ground had caught the moment happen. 

Ever since his switch to the Saudi Pro League, Cristiano Ronaldo has been facing taunts from rival fans. One of the most famous ways to get under Ronaldo’s skin is to chant the name of Lionel Messi.

This was seen during the Riyadh Cup final as well when Ronaldo was targeted by the AL-Hilal fans. The 39-year-old had lost his cool and thrown the medal into the crowd earning the ire of the fans. 

According to a local newspaper, there is an investigation which is set to begin soon. “The disciplinary committee is facing its biggest Test, we will wait and see. Everything has its limits, no matter how famous you are. This is how the major leagues are” said a well-known Saudi journalist on Twitter. 

Al Nassr began with a 21st-minute penalty which Ronaldo converted. Taslica got the second goal to put AL Nassr well ahead. Belgian winger Yannick Carrasco pulled one back for Al Shabab to make it 2-1 going into the break. 

Carlos made it 2-2 as the home team and their fans began dreaming of an unlikely win. The hearts of Al Shabab fans were broken when Talisca got the winner in the 88th minute. Abdullah Radif was given the red card in the 102nd minute of the game to end the game on a sour note.
