'Galat hua tha'- Fans react as David Warner's recent post on Instagram shows his love for Hyderabad

Australia's opener David Warner has a special connection with Indian Premier League (IPL) team Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). He is one of India’s most popular international cricketers. The southpaw has received a lot of love and appreciation from Indian cricket fans since he is a prominent player in the IPL.

Warner has constantly expressed gratitude to his Indian fans for their love and support. On his official Instagram account, the 36-year-old sent a one-of-a-kind remark to the Hyderabad fans. The left-hander uploaded a picture of the famous Charminar, the last place he visited on vacation.

The former SRH captain has stated posting the picture, "I have been asked by a fan to post a pic of the last place I visited when I was in Hyderabad besides the golf course?? Well this is not my picture but I did visit this place!! Can you name it??" He previously also posted a picture in telugu that state, "My second home and the place I love the most in India is Hyderabad."

As the captain of the Sunrisers Hyderabad franchise in the Indian Premier League, David Warner has a stellar track record. He guided the team to its first title in 2016. SRH is yet to win the trophy since 2016, but they have made the playoffs in four seasons - 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020.

However, the franchise had a disastrous season in the T20 league in 2021 under Warner's captaincy. They won one of their seven league games and dropped to the bottom of the points table. SRH's management made the difficult choice to dismiss Warner as captain and replaced him with Kane Williamson due to the team's dismal performance.

In a surprising turn of events, Warner was also dropped from the Orange Army’s playing XI in the last match of the IPL 2021 season. Warner only managed to score 193 runs with a strike rate of 110 in six games in the entire season. The Hyderabad franchise will try to change their fortunes after appointing Daniel Vettori as their head coach for next season.
