Minor changes to the format
Tekken 8 is set to release on January 26 and the Tekken World Tour 2024 will start April 13. This year, players will be able to qualify through two different methods.
As usual, Players will also be invited through the Global Leaderboard. However, the best regional player on the leaderboards will move forward to the finals. Another big change in the TWT 2024 is making two Master+ events this year.
Evo Japan 2024 is now also included in Master+. Additionally, there will be a regional leaderboard. Players can also earn points through Dojo Events in their region. The Point System seems to be remaining the same.
All worldwide events regardless of their tiers will qualify for global leaderboard points. The top players on the leaderboards will be invited to the Global finals.
Points from regional Dojo Events will also count towards global leaderboards. It is important to note that once a region is set, players cannot change it. Dojo submission will start at the end of March. Events this year will all be held offline.
All in all, total points from one Master+ tournament, two Master tournaments, three Challenger tournaments and four global Dojo events will count towards leaderboard points.
