PGL Major Asia-Pacific RMR

With the European RMRs concluded, the Asia-Pacific is also set to host their RMR featuring top Counter Strike Teams in the Asian region. The Asia-Pacific RMR will also feature the least amount of teams in the upcoming PGL Major.

A total of eight teams will compete in the Asia-Pacific RMR, with only two moving forward to the PGL CS2 Major. These teams qualified for the RMRs through Oceanic Qualifier, Chinese Qualifier, East Asian Qualifier, Southeast Asian Qualifier and Middle Eastern Qualifier.

Format

Unlike other regions, Asia-Pacific will follow the Playoffs format featuring a Double-Elimination bracket. This is because there aren’t enough teams to follow the Swiss Stage format.

All teams will be starting in the upper brackets. These matches will decide who will move forward and who will start with the lower bracket. The opening matches will be played as best-of-one. Following that, all elimination and advancement games will be best-of-three.

Here are the opening matchups

The MongolZ Vs JiJieHao

Grayhound Vs ATOX Esports

Lynn Vision Vs Myth Avenue Gaming

TYLOO Vs 15 Average Gaming

The matches will commence on February 26 and will run for three days, ending on February 28 with two victors, one from the upper bracket and the other one from the lower bracket. Teams losing in the upper bracket will have a chance to qualify through the lower bracket.

Following the Asia-Pacific RMR, the final five teams will come from the Americas, which will hold their matches through the regular Swiss Stage format.
