PGL Major Copenhagen 2024: American RMR teams and format

The American RMR for PGL CS2 Major will be the last running RMR that will start after the Asia-Pacific RMR concludes. Matches will start From March 1 and will be played offline.

Despite having 16 teams, only five teams will move forward to the Major. This will be the second-lowest team count after the Asia-Pacific RMR which only features two teams in the Major. The European RMR has the highest team count, bringing in 17 teams.

Format -

American RMR will also feature a Swiss Stage format. However,  unlike the European RMRs, American teams will only play 4 Rounds. Out of the 16 competing teams, only the top five will qualify for PGL Major 2024 with the remaining eliminated.

Winners will move to the higher bracket while the losers in the lower bracket. Another win will land four teams in the promotion bracket, while the losers in the lower bracket will be eliminated and winners survive to see another round.

All matches except promotion and elimination will be played as best-of-one. Promotion and elimination will be played as best-of-three. With American RMR concluded, the first-ever CS2 Major will commence on March 17.
