Team Liquid faces defeat at BetBoom Dacha 2024 grand final

The BetBoom Dacha for Dota 2 esports recently concluded, and Team Falcons were crowned the 2024 champions. Falcons defeated Team Liquid with three back-to-back wins in a best-of-five grand final match.

Apart from the championship trophy, the team also took home $400,000 out of the $1 million prize pool. Team Liquid who previously defeated BetBoom Team in the lower bracket final secured second place and took home $200,000.

After losing to Team Falcons, BetBoom Team who was knocked down to the lower bracket final also lost to Team Liquid. They secure the third place, taking home $100,000.

A sad end to Team Liquid’s run

While some may argue that Team Falcons also went flawless since the beginning, Team Liquid lost that advantage very early. Liquid started with Lower Bracket Round 1 and went on to reach the grand final undefeated.

Team Falcons dominated the tournament

Apart from the 3-0 win at the grand finals, Team Falcons also won the tournament without losing to any opponents. There were surely times when they did feel pressure, however, the team managed to stay on top.

The final match against Team Liquid also saw some struggle, however, their bold decision paid off. After their first win, it seemed like Team Falcons were ready to take risks, knowing they had a win in the bag. The second match while intense turned out in their favour, leading to an early victory in the third match.
