This year’s Xbox Developer Direct 2024 recap showcased some major upcoming released from both Microsoft and other developers. Five major titles have been announced for this year, with more details revealed during the stream.

After four year of wait, Hellblade 2 finally have a release date of May 21, 2024. The game is Developed by Ninja Theory, makers of DmC: Devil may Cry. The first instalment in the series was very well received due to its story and atmosphere.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle
A new Indiana Jones action adventure game was also revealed with gameplay, and development footage. The game is set in first-person perspective, however it will shift to third person at times for better immersion. The main character also looks like Harrison Ford for this reason.
Ara: History Untold
A new strategy game by Oxide Games named Ara: History Untold is set to release this year. The game features a new take on a strategy game. Players can continue working on how to defeat their opponent like a real time battle.
Avowed (Release Window Reveal)
Obsidian Entertainment shared more information on its upcoming RPG game Avowed. The game is set in the universe of the Pillars of Eternity franchise. Since it is an RPG game, players will get multiple choices during gameplay.
The studio is already popular for games like Fallout: New Vegas and The Outer Worlds. There was also a gameplay reveal with fighting with swords, wands, pistols, etc. It is set to release Fall 2024.
Visions of Mana (Release Window)
Square Enix, developers of Final Fantasy series also made a surprise appearance for this year’s Xbox Developer Direct. Square gave a closer look at their upcoming RPG game Visions of Mana’s combat and world. The game is set to launch this summer.
