Team India has been in superb form in the ongoing Asia Cup. Both the batters and bowlers have dropped some sensational performances in their respective fields. Shubman Gill has been India's highest run scorer in the 2023 calendar year. Currently, the 23-year-old batter is in the top 10 list of the Men's ODI batting ranking.

After Kuldeep Yadav's excellent display with the ball in back-to-back matches against Pakistan and Sri Lanka, he has moved up to 7th in Men's ODI bowling rankings. Babar Azam is currently the No.1 ODI batter in the World but his position might be under scrutiny.

India players dominate in ODI rankings

Three Indian cricketers finally cracked the top ten of the ODI Rankings after 55 weeks. As a result of their outstanding Asia Cup campaign, Indian batting sensation, Virat Kohli has broken into the top ten among one-day international rankings, alongside Rohit Sharma, who is still in the top and raised 2 places, his position is 9th with 721 points. The former India skipper is in 8th position with 715 points. Gill on the other hand is ranked 2nd with 759 points and the difference between the top two is 104 points.

Apart from Pakistan captain Babar Azam, there are Imam-ul-Haq and Fakhar Zaman. Both the openers are there with 734 and 705 points respectively. In the bowling department Indian wrist spinner, Kuldeep Yadav has also jumped up in the ranking. Kuldeep is now 7th in the list of bowlers with 656 points. Along with him, Mohammed Siraj stays up in the 9th position with 643 points. In the ranking of all-rounders, Hardik Pandya has climbed 4 steps to the sixth position. Pakistan bowler Haris Rauf has moved up eight places to 21st and Naseem Shah eleven places to joint 51st.

South Africa spin duo Keshav Maharaj and Tabraiz Shamsi have improved a lot as ODI bowlers. They jumped to the 25th and 29th spot respectively. The Protea skipper Temba Bavuma jumps a whopping 21 places to 11th, which is also his career-best ranking. David Warner is placed fourth on the updated batter rankings with his terrific form against South Africa.
