Former legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar’s son and Mumbai Indians (MI) allrounder Arjun Tendulkar was having a decent season in the Indian Premier League 2023 until he came to bowl against the Punjab Kings (PBKS) where he leaked a lot of runs due to which he is struggling to get his place back in MI’s playing XI. 

Meanwhile, ahead of MI vs Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) clash, Arjun got bitten by a dog near the fingers of his bowling hand. Arjun's cricket career could have ended in this accident, but he narrowly survived and because of this, he will once again miss another match. LSG posted a video on their official Twitter account where Arjun was meeting with LSG pacers Yudhveer Singh Charak and Mohsin Khan, during this he told them that he is injured.

MI and LSG will lock horns in the 63rd match of IPL at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. The players of MI are staying at the Hyatt Hotel where Arjun was bitten by a dog in the hotel, however, it is not yet clear. Although some sources say that he got bitten while playing with a pet dog.

Can MI continue its winning run?

MI didn’t have a great start in the tournament but they returned to form in the last phase of the tournament and will aim to maintain this momentum and cement their claim to the playoffs. Mumbai is third in the points table with 14 points, while Lucknow is fourth with one point less in the same number of matches. MI's recent success has come at the back of their batting muscle that has plundered big runs and chased down 200-plus scores too easily for the comfort of the opposition teams

On the other hand, LSG, who are playing without their regular skipper KL Rahul because of his injury, will also aim to earn two more points as it will increase their chances to qualify for the playoffs. They will like to avoid any loss at this stage of the tournament.
