Virat Kohli got out on the very first ball of the second innings by Trent Boult and here is how fans reacted to it.

Former Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli is in brilliant form in the ongoing 16th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) as he has scored more than 200 runs in the season so far. But the right-hander couldn’t do anything special for the team in the 32nd match of the league against Rajasthan Royals (RR) as he got out on a golden duck.

Interestingly, this is Kohli’s second golden duck in the Green jersey, however, in the last season the golden duck came against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). And now it seems that Kohli and RCB’s Green jersey is not an ideal match. Kohli faced the first ball of the innings which was bowled by the terrific left-arm pacer Trent Boult.

Surprisingly, after losing the toss, Kohli said that they’d have batted first after winning the toss as he thought that the wicket is dry and will be more dry in the 2nd innings but he himself failed to do anything with the bat and couldn’t read the inswinging delivery from Boult.

“It was pretty easy to choose, we’d have batted first. This wicket looks dry and it will get drier and might break up first. I didn’t say that to Sanju, but I’m very happy to bat first. We both get to do what we wanted," Kohli said during the toss

Kohli also talked about leading the side again after relinquishing captaincy in 2021, he mentioned that the team management informed him to lead the team for a couple of games. He also appreciated the players for responding to him well.

“They informed me last time saying I might have to captain a couple of games, nothing I’m not used to doing. So I’m happy to step in, ready to continue with whatever Faf has been doing. The team has responded well, we are playing with a lot of energy, and that showed in the last game. Faf du Plessis continues to play as an impact sub." he said.
