Hardik Pandya slams Cricket Windies for lack of facilities for team travels

India all-rounder Hardik Pandya wasn't happy with the travel arrangements for the team. Apparently, the Men In Blue were meant to travel from Barbados to Trinidad for the third ODI. The team could only get a plane for the trip only a night before the game. This led to the players playing the day game without much sleep.

Talking about the game, the Asian side lost the toss and was asked to bat first. Thanks to Ishan Kishan (77), Shubman Gill (85), Sanju Samson (51), Pandya (70*), and Suryakumar Yadav (35) helped the team reach 351/5. In reply, the home side lost eight wickets for 88 runs. In the end, the team was bowled out for 151 runs, losing the game by 200 runs.

After the game, Pandya complained about the lack of travel facilities.

"This was one of the nicest grounds we have played. Things can be better when we come to West Indies next time. From travelling to managing a lot of things. Last year also, some hiccups happened. I think it's time for West Indies Cricket to take note of it and make sure that when a team travels... We don’t ask for luxury but we need some basic necessities taken care of. Other than that, really enjoyed coming here and playing some good cricket," Hardik Pandya said on Tuesday.

Apart from this, Pandya also spoke about the win. Apparently, the team needed to win to win the series by 2-1. They lost the last ODI which led to the series becoming alive.

"It’s a special win. To be honest, I look forward to these kinds of games as a captain where there is something on the line. This was more than an international game. We knew what was at stake and there would be a lot of disappointment if we lost. The boys showed great character. They enjoyed it as well, in pressure situations it’s important to enjoy it as well. You don't become a hero without handling pressure," Hardik said.
