Shubman Gill comes in support of this senior partner Rishabh Pant saying that he has nothing to do with the actor Urvashi Rautela. A few months back, Urvashi had talked about a mysterious person by calling him ‘Mr. RP’ during an interview with Bollywood Hungama.

In the Interview, Urvashi mentioned that ‘Mr.RP’ was so desperate to meet her at an event in New Delhi, he called him 16-17 times. The interview, which went viral, was then followed by a ‘War of Words’ between Pant and Urvashi on social media.

"There is nothing from Rishabh Pant's side. He doesn't get distracted by her activities. Actually, Urvashi wants someone to tease her. He does not even care about it," said Gill while speaking to Sonam Bajwa on a chat show 'Dil Diyan Gallan'.

Will Pant and Gill perform in the New Zealand series?

Both Rishabh and Shubman are currently in New Zealand for the ongoing T20I series. The first match at Wellington was forced to be abandoned due to rain and the focus shifts to the all-important second game that will be played at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui on Sunday, November 20.

India and New Zealand, both will come strong at each other after getting eliminated in the semi-final of the 20-20 World Cup 2022 in Australia. Gill and Pant will look to leave their impact in this series. Gill has not been consistently on the team and will be trying his best to be in the eyes of the selectors, and seniors resting in this series, this is the perfect opportunity for him to try and audition for his place in the T20I side.

On the other hand, Pant also needs to get some quick runs under his belt in this series. The southpaw had a miserable 20-20 World Cup campaign where he got out cheaply in the Super 12 fixture against Zimbabwe and the semis against England.

With Sanju Samson also competing for the limited-overs wicketkeeper’s spot, Pant will now need to bring his top game forward.
